Getting Personal with Yvette Quantz, RDN, LDN, founder of Customized Nutrition Newsletters

Customized Nutrition Newsletters unite Yvette’s passions for nutrition, fitness, health, marketing, and creative expression into one system.

Hi! I’m Yvette Quantz, founder and registered dietitian passionate about connecting with my clients and helping others thrive in their work.

Customized Nutrition Newsletters was started in 2009 to provide nutrition and wellness professionals with an easy-to-use solution to send an e-newsletter to their clients. I started this journey before social media, meaning a lot has changed and evolved.

However, as much has changed, one thing has remained the same – people want to connect with people.

Customized Nutrition Newsletters was founded on this principle: no matter how busy life gets and regardless of how much evolves with technology, your clients – present, past, and future – want to stay connected with you.

Your clients want to hear from YOU, not me or any other internet guru :). They want a relationship with YOU. They want to know where you are, how to find you, and that you can be their go-to resource for food, nutrition, and wellness needs.

Cultivating a relationship with your clients takes time and involves a variety of communication tools and styles.

That’s where using Customized Nutrition Newsletters helps. As a subscriber, you receive access to high-quality, expert-written food, nutrition, and wellness content ready to be customized by you for your business with your brand.

I am so excited you’re here, and I can’t wait for you to explore how Customized Nutrition Newsletters content can be used to help enhance your business and cultivate better connections with your clients.

My Passion for Health

I have always loved the field of nutrition and fitness. I can remember being as young as ten years old, going for runs with my dad, and experimenting with new recipes with my mom.  In high school, I even made homemade beauty products – the avocado face mask, the banana hair conditioner, and sea salt scrubs. Even today, I am always experimenting with new foods and recipes (my husband claims we spend more money on my experiments than we do on food we eat).  I love to take new fitness classes and sign up for races to keep me challenged and motivated.

But most of all, what I love about this field is the wide array of people I get to meet and work with. I really believe the field of nutrition and fitness has some of the brightest and most talented people with the biggest hearts who want to help others.

Creative Gene

My mother is definitely the creative one in the family.  She was always making things – special cakes, teacher gifts, bows, and clothes.  She always amazed me with the presentations she could pull off by adding her creative touch to almost anything.

A big memory I have is of putting together over 100 gift baskets every Christmas for my dad’s business.  I remember buying chocolate covered Oreos (a dietitian’s delight) and decorating them with red and green stripes. We would package them nicely, tie a large bow, and place a personal card in each basket. My mom always made them look great, better than store bought gift baskets.

I am so thankful to my mom for bringing out my creativity and empowering me to implement this talent in my own life.   She emphasized how important it is to add personal touches to everything you do.

Where My Love of Business Started

My father is the businessman in our family.  My dad and I often had special date nights. As the oldest sibling with 3 younger brothers, I really looked forward to our outings together.  My dad is a business owner with an entrepreneurial spirit!  He planted the seeds of my passion for business at a very early age.  As a child and young adult, I used to love listening to his stories about his work, and, today, he is still my #1 go-to business guru when I have questions or need a little inspiration.

I learned so much from my father and have transferred many of the lessons he taught me from the “business world” into my world of nutrition and fitness. One of the greatest lessons he taught me was the power of relationships in every aspect of life – not just business.

He is my role model for perseverance.  When things get tough, you don’t take the easy way out.  One must strive to do what is right and good.  He taught me that if you do this and continue to work hard, believe in yourself, remember the power of people in your life, and have a little fun while you are working, then you will succeed.

A Little Bit of Southern in Me

I’m from New Orleans.  It is part of our culture to be personable and treat everyone as part of one big happy family. So don’t be surprised if, when we meet in person, I greet you with a big warm hug!

Family has always been a big part of my life.  My family regularly gets together, and Thanksgiving is our favorite feast – at least 40 of us will gather around many tables.  Many fond memories of mine include being surrounded by cousins, aunts, and uncles.

I love getting to know people.  I am fortunate that my job allows me to work with so many amazing professionals, and I am grateful that I get to be a part of the success of the clients that work with Customized Nutrition Newsletters.
